Compositional Characterization of Biosurfactant Produced from Pseudomonas aeruginosa ENO14-MH271625 and its Application in Crude Oil Bioremediation

Objectives: This study aimed to compositionally characterize the biosurfactant and its application in crude oil bioremediation. Methods: Production of was carried out Bushnell Hass Broth (BHB), supplemented with 1% glucose. Compositional characterizations were performed by 1H-NMR ESI-MS analysis. The biodegradation using a 0.1% (g/v) purified (ENO14BS). experiment has three sets namely Set A, B C. experiments are as follows: A contained 50 ml sterilized BHB medium bacterial cells (5% v/v, O.D.600 ~ 1.0), 2% (v/v) ENO14BS (0.1 % w/v). nm 1.0) oil. C (abiotic control) only. for 7 days. Results: Structural elucidation NMR Electrospray Ionization-Mass Spectroscopy (ESIMS) showed presence six uncommon rhamnolipid homologs, m/z (mass charge ratio) = 358.98 [M+H]+, Rha-C12:2; 391.28 Rha–C6–C6; 427.38 Rha–C17:3; 447.32 Rha–C8- C8; 507.22 Rha-Rha-C12:1; 648.17 Rha-Rha- C10-C10:1. (ENO14BS) at laboratory scale. (0.1% w/v) amended microcosm up 73% degradation (31% higher than culture alone) four Conclusion: We conclude that produced Pseudomonas aeruginosa ENO14 glucose this shown potential use bioremediation process.
